Senior Management Accountant

Reporting to the FPA Lead you will work within the Management Information Team and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team. You will aid in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual MI reporting, forecasting and budgeting, variance analysis and will be the Business Partner for the Sales Team and Garvins Law. Position will have 1 direct report.

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate and prepare Management Accounts for Garvins Law and other entities to final review stage, including variance analysis and commentary against budget/forecast
  • Prepare the month end and forecast salaries
  • Assist in preparation of monthly board slides
  • Assist the FPA Lead with the monthly Forecast & Budget, writing the monthly FPA slides (sent to the board)
  • Business Partner with the Sales Team, including detailed review of month end performance, forecasting Hire Starts & Commissions
  • Preparation of Business Cases for the Sales Team
  • Gross Margin Reporting
  • Lead Accountant for Garvins Law
  • Support submission of Statutory Accounts
  • Support and develop members of the management accounts team
  • Support the Group’s annual audit
  • Assist in the delivery of the month end balance sheet review ensuring appropriate controls are in place
  • Achievement of departmental KPIs and deadlines
  • Ad-hoc projects

  • Ensure risk is managed and interventions are enacted wherever necessary

  • Technically astute, with the ability to apply technical accounting knowledge to practical situations.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise and communicate effectively at all levels across the business including Senior Management.
